- A good conscience is a continual Christmas....
- A great empire, like a great cake, is most easily diminished at the edges....
- A man wrapped up in himself makes a very small bundle....
- A penny saved is a penny earned....
- Absence sharpens love, presence strengthens it....
- An investment in knowledge pays the best interest....
- Anger is never without a reason, but seldom with a good one....
- Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do....
- Applause waits on success....
- Be slow in choosing a friend, slower in changing....
- Beauty and folly are old companions....
- Being ignorant is not so much a shame, as being unwilling to learn....
- By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail....
- Content makes poor men rich; discontent makes rich men poor....
- Do good to your friends to keep them, to your enemies to win them....

"Age of Enlightenment" and "The Enlightenment" refers particularly to the intellectual and philosophical developments of that age (and their impact in moral and social reform), in which Reason was advocated as the primary source and basis of authority. Developing in Germany, France and Britain, the movement spread through much of Europe, including Russia and Scandinavia.
The signatories of the American Declaration of Independence, the United States Bill of Rights and the French Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen were motivated by "Enlightenment" principles (although the English Bill of Rights predates the era). The era is marked by political aspiration towards governmental consolidation, nation-creation and greater rights for common people, attempting to supplant the arbitrary authority of aristocracy and established churches.
The eighteenth century was an age of optimism, tempered by the realistic recognition of the sad state of the human condition and the need for major reforms. The Enlightenment was less a set of ideas than it was a set of attitudes. At its core was a critical questioning of traditional institutions, customs, and morals. Some classifications of this period also include the late 17th century, which is typically known as the Age of Reason or Age of Rationalism.
Now that we know what an Enlightenment is and how vastly and quickly it can affect the world, Let’s talk about why Tiffany chose this concept as a model for her albums. Music changes by the decade. Everything is categorized into the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90's and so on. There’s a brain freeze on creativity. Why? Look at the industry… fashion and style have reverted back to the 80’s (as of late). Life repeats itself, true story. But only in ideology and philosophy should this happen. Creativity moves in a vehicle called EVOLUTION. Evolution doesn’t recycle, it constantly grows and improves. Doesn’t it?
Tiffany Scott has a style of her own. She can bring her songs to life with choreography. How many musicians dance? How many artists, known for dancing, can make the music that they dance to?
We haven’t seen anything incredible since Michael Jackson but it’s hard to believe that God has stopped creating Super Humans. The music industry has been almost single-handedly reduced to rappers that sound horrible in live performance, artists that only walk back and forth across the stage with no presentation and women that show their bodies to make up for what they lack in talent. Female groups can’t get along well enough to stay together and male groups seem to be out of style, even with rap and hip-hop. So what’s left?
Looks like it’s time for another “Enlightenment”.
This is why Tiffany chose the Enlightenment concept as the package for her music and style. Standard genre’s can’t hold her. She doesn’t fit into a box. BUT… people are attracted to her. That’s why it works!
